Hi! I have been a terrible blogger this month. Things have been very busy at home and I have been creating but not finishing many things. I finished this card last week but then realized it was very similar to a series of cards made previously with this stamp. :)
I also have a ton of half finished projects. I start them and walk away because I don't know where to go with them next.
Like this attempt to play with a glaze resist over stamped text and color bursts.
or this a stencil outline with another stencil layered in with embossing paste.
This was me still playing with the glaze resist.
I have a bunch of ideas half started and not finished. These will go in the backgrounds pile to hopefully re-surface into a finished project at some time.
Thanks for stopping by!

Circles
Welcome back! Today is Funkie Time for the Design Team at the Frilly and Funkie Challenge. The challenge is "Going Round in Circles". Sue is hosting the challenge and describes it: "Including circles in my projects is one of my favourite things to do,
so for this challenge I want to see circles, lots of circles, not just
one! Stencilled, stamped or even a circular project such as a wreath!"
I am with Sue on the circles. I love using them and creating them on journal pages. My projects all started from one journal page background I created with some painted on circles.
I started with laying the die cut circles randomly over the ledger page. I then painted white brush strokes outwards around the circle to create a resist.
After the painted circles dried I then sprayed the background with a mix of yellows and light orange distress stain sprays.
I let that dry and then came back and added shadows to my circles to make them pop. I went through and splattered sprays and white paint over the surface.
I cut up the ledger page into pieces to highlight certain sections of the circles. I then created a collage effect on each using the stamped leaves, sentiments and other images. I also used the watercolor pencil to outline my images in some cases to add additional shading and highlights.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Fall Friendship
Hi! Today I am sharing a step by step tutorial over on the Frilly and Funkie Challenge Blog today.
I had fun playing with some new products and the lovely fall colors in the Color Bursts. Fall is my favorite season. The beautiful colors, the crisp cool air while the sun is still warm on your face and McIntosh apples are in season. :)
I used that inspiration while playing around with some new techniques.
For all the details go here and see the messy fun.
Have a wonderful Saturday!
