2 Challenges and a Baby Card

The OCC challenge this week is embossing resist http://ourcreativecorner6.blogspot.com/ and the Hero Arts is pocket cards. I actually took a little different spin on the pocket card. I was inspired by Lisa Spanglers really cute paper clips http://sideoatsandscribbles.wumple.com/?p=877.

I need to make a baby card for a friend of mine who just had a baby girl. I wondered if I could duplicate Lisa's cute idea with big safety pins. Similar to those duck head safety pins used for old diapers.
Here is my take on a pocket card with Saftey Pins in the pockets. I thought she can take them out and use them for accents on the baby book.
The safety pins are stuck into little pockest under the front of the card.

Mini Recipe:
  1. Mask top and bottom: stamp with versamark , heat emboss with clear embossing powder and sponge the pink dye ink.
  2. Measure out where you want the four pins to slide in and cut slits.
  3. Punch lace border for top and tape only on outside edges and bottom of lace.
  4. Cut out a white rectangle for inside of card. Tape along the bottom and sides. This allows for a pocket on the inside of the card for the safet pins to slide into. This helps them lay flat on the front of the card.
