Hero Arts Monthly Challenge

This months challenge for Hero Arts is Summer Fun, Fourth of July and a fun technique of color layering. I have a few birthdays in July around the 4th and decided to try to get one completed before the first deadline for this challenge.

I spent all day on this card and didn't like what I ended up with. Argh... But I thought I would share the two ways I embellished it.

My first attempt at my card looked like this:
I asked my sons' input and there was a long pause. So I knew it wasn't just me. :)

I then took off the twine and moved my buttons and asked if it was better and he said yes.
So my two attempts on one card. My nephew is going to end up with this one. I don't think he will mind as long as the check ends up inside.

Have a lovely day!

  2. Hahaha, what the check is was OK, but it's reality.
I like both cards, but they are different because not many, but I like the first, against the advice of your children and yours, but you're the teacher and your creativity is beyond doubt, the two are beautiful works.
    Besitos, good weekend.

  6. Sorry I've not visited for a while Sue. I went away for a few days with my crafting friends and it's taken me all week to catch up since I came home.

As usual you have made some wonderful cards. The one on the previous post is really pretty. The paper and lace are really special.

I'm sure your nephew is going to really like this one. Lucky lad getting a cheque as well, Lol!
