Joy

All this week the Stampendous Design Team is hopping along with Carmi Cimicata of the Resin Crafts Blog We are sharing creations featuring Stampendous,  Nunn Design and ETI Jewelry Resin.

There are opportunities to win all you have to do is hop along, enjoy the view and leaving comments along the way.

I started with a beautiful bezel to create my first necklace.

I inked up the Cling Dream Stamp with brown ink and stamped it off onto a piece of cardstock and then stamped it onto my cardstock.  I punched out a circle to fit my frame.  I stamped the Charm Collection flowers  using brown Archival Ink.  I colored the images using STAEDTLER watercolor pencils.  I stamped the bee from Queen Bee set onto vellum and colored it.  I cut the bee out and glued it to my background and over the edge of the bezel. The next important step is to glue down your image to the bezel. This will keep the resin from seeping under the cardstock. Mine actually still seeped under in areas but I loved how it left a patch of white which actually reminded me of a patch of sunlight.  So I was happy with the end result. :)  I then mixed up the resin per the instructions and poured in and blew out the bubbles.  Make sure you rest your projec ton a level surface. I have done this twice were my surface wasn't level and then your resin leaks out of the side or your end up with a uneven surface. :)

Here is a close up of the finished necklace:

I burrowed around in my charms and lace to add the finishing touches. I then decided to try the ring which is a really fun  base to start with:

I stamped the birds from the Cling Bluebird on a Branch onto a piece of white cardstock and punched out the bird.  I colored it with watercolor pencil and wrote the word joy on the edge. I then glued it into the bottom of the ring. I filled it with resin and let it dry overnight. (My ring toppled after I started and all my resin poured out which I didn't notice until too late. :(  I ended up using a cap from one of my products to stick the ring in to hold it upright the second time. After it dried I decided to add a frame by putting two flowers around the rim.   I spritzed white flowers with glimmer mist and attached them around the edge of the ring. I then added a touch of glitter around the edges.

I finished off my resin with a charm:
I stamped the tree on white cardstock using black ink. I cut it to fit the size of the memory frame.   I then spritzed glimmer mist into the remaining resin and stirred and stirred and then poured it into the frame. This was sitting on a piece of scrap acetate.  I let it dry. Because the frame isn't solid it will seep partially out of the frame.  I just topped it off after the first layer dried out.  The seond layer was clear but didn't impact the lovely color and shimmer.

Now hop along to see all the rest of the fabulous inspiration!

Love the bird ring! A tip for making rings~I use a piece of Styrofoam block to hold my small, uneven pieces so that they stay upright.
