Sisters

Good Monday to you!

My project for the challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is a photo of my two daughters.  The challenge is to think about using different types of paper.  From specialty stamping paper to glitter, corrugated to extra heavy mixed media to tissue special papers that can add so much more than just a starting point for a project. I started with wood veneer and that led to this picture with the trees and greenery.

I died the veneer with a combination of stains and sprays and the tore it in half to put it in the background.

I stamped the sentiment on a scrap which I think is appropriate with family. We may all have different personalities, quirks, etc but a the end of the day it is what is in our heart towards each other.

  8. How can one mind know SOooOooOOooO many different techniques? Your range of skills always impresses the heck out of me and I really love how you incorporated the wood veneer. I thought it was so clever of you to use the wood theme which goes along with the picture so perfectly! Your daughters are lucky to have such a talented mom!
