Hi! Happy Saturday! I have been busy playing with tags today. Linda of The Funkie Junkie is hosting her annual 12 tags of Christmas. She posts her tags on Monday and you have until Dec 19th to play along for chance to win to her boutique The Funkie Junkie Boutique.
Week # 1 Tag. I loved Linda's soft bluish tint behind the gorgeous gold stars and decided to continue with that color scheme and include gold trees.
Week # 2 Tag: Linda's week #2 tag had me thinking of a charming rustic Christmas. I love how Linda used the red polka dots and red pattern on the top and bottom of her beautiful tag. I decided to use a gingham effect on my tag.
Finally Week #3 tag: Linda's rich gold and black color combo was striking. I had to change up the elements a bit as I was lacking in most of the same elements. I loved how the gold stood out on the black backdrop.
Thanks for stopping by!
Suzz
All three are luscious Suzz, I love the colour combinations and festive elements you added to each of them xxx
ReplyDeleteFabulous interpretations of Linda's original Suzz! Love how you have been inspired by her, yet totally made them your own!
ReplyDeleteJust finished my first 3 yesterday, now I just need to get them blogged.....
They are all great tags, but the first and third are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo, welcome Suzz! So thrilled to have you playing along in the 12 Tags of Christmas Funkie Junkie Style again this year. You are off to an amazing start with three sensational pieces. They are all wonderful but I especially like Week #2 with the red, white and green accents. The pale blue and gold on the first one is lovely and the hand knit gold stenciling on #3 is terrific too. Thanks so much for joining in the challenge!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Linda
These are all great. I love the pale blue of the first card and the centre tree of your 2nd. The last one is beautiful with the background pattern in gold-great tags
ReplyDeleteWOW your works are always a great inspiration for me, what a beautiful trio!
ReplyDeleteYour tags are all beautiful, but the one with the black background makes me mad, it is really special, amazing!
ReplyDeleteSuzz, so glad to see you playing along. These tags are simply stunning. I love your eye for color mixing and design. Hugs, Autumn
ReplyDeleteLove your variations on the FJ tags - great use of the gold on one and three and I love combination of stencilled and die-cut trees on number two. ’ve just posted my first F.J. tag, which means I’ve now got to do 12 tags in 12 days… I’m hoping it will get me back in the swing of things after so many months away from my craft room. I know I’ve missed lots of treats here, but I’m looking forward to some proper catching up over the festive season.
