Memories

Chic to be Shabby  is the challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp and Show.

I was excited to play along as shabby chic is something I really enjoy..  I decided to create a wedding keepsake box.

The base of my project is a Graphics 45 Altered Art Box.
I covered the surfaces with a variety of lovely soft pastel papers distressed and smeared with white paint. I coordinated with a variety of pinks, black, and soft greens.   The front is covered with a variety of roses which have been misted with pink glimmer mist. The ribbon was also died to pink color as well.

The box has two openings which allow for photos inside and out:

Inside I mounted a frame die cut from pink vellum.  The frame is for additional photos or to add a keepsake.

Here is a picture of the box fully open.
I added a pocket with the Hero Arts doily stamped using versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I created a tag to fit in the pocket with lace trim.

The box open standing up:
I love collecting papers and was happy to use them on this beautiful keepsake perfect for an anniversary gift.

  2. Suzz...this shabby chic wedding box is such a beautiful keepsake and I am sure it will be a treasured anniversary gift! I so love the pink that you've used on this. So feminine and so shabby chic! The lace and, flowers and bling are so perfect for this style and they are all wrapped up in that gorgeous pink bow! :) Love the black and white photos mixed with the pink and white color palette. That makes them pop even more in this gorgeous little box. As always, your pieces are so elegantly finished off to perfection! <3 Candy
