I stamped the background script stamp using Versamark watermark ink onto the background. I heat embossed the script with white embossing powder.
I then added a layer of poppies using versamark watermark ink and white embossing powder. I also stamped a butterfly on the other misted scrap with no stencil. I embossed the butterfly with white embossing powder. I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and cut it into a shape of a banner. I decided to add a hint of orange to my pieces and used a sponge to apply orange dye ink.
The edges were distressed and added to a distressed cardbase. I spritzed a white flower with orange dye ink and added it to the center of the butterfly.

Suzz this looks absolutely beautiful!! I can never get my white embossing to work this well!
ReplyDeleteFabulous Suzz. What a great use of left overs. Love the colours.
ReplyDeleteSuzz...I love the background that resulted from what some might consider "trash". That spritzed and masked background is amazing! :) I really love the white embossed poppies that you've asymmetrically added to the design. Then, the addition of the dimensional butterfly with the sweet little flower in the center...PERFECT! <3 Candy
ReplyDeleteHi Suzz, I always love how you use your left over pieces to such great effect, perfect example shown here. The white embossed poppies really pop set against the background. Lovely rich colours too. The butterfly with the dimensional flower set in the centre is very eye catching. Love your use of the weathered clock in the background too. Tracy x x

Cool! I have that Tim Holtz die cut, so I'll definitely have to try out this background on one of my cards in the future. The collage you built over yours is amazingly beautiful and romantic.
