Here is how she describes the challenge:
"Design a vintage or shabby chic project using the color pink. You may use other colors as accents, but, pink must be predominant. There are many shades of pink ranging from fuschia to soft baby pink so let your pink imagination go wild"
I have been wanting to try a wall hanging and decided to use this challenge to mix and match some pieces.
I am not going to share too much about my project because I am going to be sharing the details on The Funkie Junkie Boutique Challenge blog on Saturday for the Saturday Showcase.
Just a few close up photos of my favorite pieces:

Suzz you've done it again - I adore every inch of this wall hanging. The repeated harmony of different floral panels and the carefully placed collections of butterflies and buttons all add their own elegance to the balance of the design, and I love the altered rulers at the top and bottom - what a clever way to add rigidity to the ends in a gorgeous way x
ReplyDeleteLove the bright vibe of your pink, feminine but full of energy. Your butterflies are gorgeous and the flower stamped panel too just beautiful. thanks for sharing it. x
ReplyDeleteSuzz, I'm quite awestruck by your incredible sense of design once again! This piece looks like it was so fun to make, and you have chosen some powerful inspirational quotes to go along with your beautiful pink stamped and stenciled elements. This is gorgeous and now I'm excited to see how it all came together in your Showcase. PS I have been working on making my own washi tape. Not knowing really what to do with it, I'm inspired by your tape collage here. I may have to lift your idea! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely and composed so perfectly! All the elements work in perfect harmony with each other.
