cr84fn23 - Pretty Petals

The  CR84FN23 challenge this week is some of my favorite colors: pink, black and cream! Combine that with a lovely sketch from Card Patterns #110 and you get my card. :)

I had just purchased the Hero Arts Garden Star F5429 flower and I was inspired to create some pink vellum flowers.

The flowers are created by:
  1. Spray thin sheet of vellum with glimmer mist. (Viva Pink) Let dry.
  2. Stamp flowers using Versamark on glimmer mist background.
  3. Heat emboss with cream embossing powder.
  4. Cut out. Curl up sides of petals using fingers. Glue dot together.
  5. Accent centers with black gems.
I had some help with the inspiration on the vellum flowers: Heather's gorgeous vellum flowers, Sue's Vellum with Alcohol Ink Flowers, Janet's lovely card to me for CCC.

Here is the beautiful inspiration colors from CR84FN:

  25. This is another stunning creation Sue. So very pretty with those gorgeous vellum flowers. Thanks for sharing the links. I'm going to check those out because I'm intrigued how you managed to shape the petals without the embossing cracking and lifting off. I love embossing on vellum but always like to add dimension to flowers by shaping them so I neeeeeeed to know how you got this gorgeous effect, lol!
