The hot pink is a hard color for me to replicate with inks or pencils so I went into the glimmer mists to find a nice bright pink. The pink background is created using glimmer mist with Hero Arts lace background stamp on white cardstock. I sprayed the glimmer mist on my craft mat and dragged the stamp through the mist to ink it up.
The poppies are also Hero Arts and are stamped over the background and shaded using multiple shades of black and grey watercolor pencils. The background paper is Authentique.

ReplyDeleteSuper card, Suzanne. I love how you put a narrow black frame around all the elements. Those poppies popping out of the frame and the glimmer mist background...too awesome!

ReplyDeleteI have to be honest and say hot pink is definitely not my favourite colour but you've made this work for me by keeping it in the background and allowing the blacks and greys to dominate resulting in a beautiful, elegant card. Love how you've taken the poppies outside the circle too.
