Hero Arts 2015 Spring Catalog Blog Hop

Welcome to the Hero Arts Hostess Blog hop where there is beautiful inspiration from my fellow Hero Hostesses using the new Hero Arts Spring 2015 release. If you’ve been following along, you’ve just arrived from Emily's fantastic blog

Hero Arts will be awarding prizes from randomly drawn comments. For a chance to win, simply comment on ANY of the stops along the hop on ANY day, including each day’s starting post at the Hero Club Blog. The more comments you leave, the better your chance of winning!

I was lucky enough to play with a few different sets and created a few different projects to share. I started with the new Stamp land Cut Butterfly
I mixed one of my favorite Hero Arts stamp the Dandelion Seed along with the new Stamp and Cut Butterfly.  I also mixed in a touch of the succulents from the Stamp your Own Succulent.

I had so much fun with that butterfly that I decided to create a small set of cards and framed the butterfly with the new Engraved Frame stamp.

I mixed in a few different sentiments into my mini cards.
I used the Hello sentiment from the Dauber Bunch Set on my next card.
My butterflies were stamped on pattern paper and colored with copics to give a different effect for each one.
Now it is time to hop along to the next stop on the Hero Arts Hostess Blog Hop which you are in for a big treat because it is the extremely talented Tiffany Ervin

If you find a broken link, you'll find a master list of the hop links at the Hero Arts Club Blog. Also, please report broken links to: blog@heroarts.com.

Aprils Showers Brings May Flowers

Welcome to the monthly Artistic Outpost Design Team Blog Hop!  Today's hop features flowers or women.  I decided that since we are having a week full of rain that I should celebrate spring flower which are the benefit of all the rain we are receive.

I started with a  Memory Box die cut butterfly and stamped the lovely flowers from the Bloom & Grow Plate using black ink. I colored the flowers with STAEDTLER  watercolor pencils and watercolor markers.  I distressed the edges with brown dye ink.
I used the Prima - Hope Chest paper for my tag.  I stamped the butterflies from the Flower Market plate in the background along with a few of the words.  I colored the butterflies with the watercolor pencils and waterbrush.  I added a few highlights with a white gel pen.  I die cut a clock (Sizzix) and sponged it with brown dye ink.  I stamped the ledger from Ephemera Backgrounds over the clock.   I added one of my many favorite sentiments to the tag from Quote & Quotables.

Hop along to see all the fabulous projects by the DT:

Stampendous Encrusted Jewel Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampendous "Fran•tage Encrusted Jewel Hop"! The encrusted jewel technique was an accidental creative process discovered by  Fran Seiford, Chief Artistic Officer at Stampendous! For more info on the process of Encrusting with the Fran•tage Essentials, check out the YouTube video HERE

I was inspired to pull out a wooden sled and decorate it for the holiday season:
Here are a few photos of the process:

My unadorned sled:

I painted the sled using the distress stain and finished it up with a glimmer mist chalkboard spray tan.

I waited for that to dry completely before the next step:)

I stamped the Lovely Jumbo Cling Holly Holidays using Versamark across the sleigh multiple times.  Heat emboss using Vintage Olive Embossing Tinsel.

The next step was to die cut some fir branches and pine cones using the new Tim Holtz die from Sizzix.  The fir branches were covered in Versamark and heat embossed using the same Vintage Olive Embossing Tinsel. The final step was to heat up the fir branches to warm up the embossing tinsel and sprinkle with  Gold Medium Halo Glitter.

The pine cones were coated with Aged Gold Embossing Enamel and Encrusted with the Gold Medium Halo Glitter.

The finishing steps involved creating a star from chipboard, staining it and embossing the edges with the Aged Silver Embossing Enamel.  The sentiment was stamped using the Altered Type Alphabet using Versamark.
Heat emboss using the Vintage Olive Embossing Tinsel powder.

The jingle bells were encrusted with an Aged Silver Embossing Enamel and Gold Halo Medium Glitter

I am the last stop on the blog hop. So if you haven't had a chance to visit any of the other blogs here's the list of our Encrusted Hoppers for today:

Lilypad Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Lily Pad Cards Blog Hop!

If you arrived here from the very talented Mary Dawn's you are in the right place. If you missed any of the previous stops in the hop please go to  Lily Pad Cards to start at the beginning of the hop. This blog hop started yesterday and features seven blogs per day and it culminates on Friday, April 1, with the grand opening of Lily Pad Cards.   Lily Pad Cards is a new challenge blog that will feature interviews, articles, videos, challenges, great prizes, and more!

Although Lily Pad doesn’t officially bloom until April 1, 2011, you’ll be able to see a new sneak peek every day until then. And you’ll definitely want to drop by because there are three prize packages with a total retail value of over $800 - including a $100 gift certificate to a very popular online store! Go here for specific prize details and contest rules.

The hop’s theme is Welcome because not only are we welcoming Lily Pad Cards to the neighborhood, but we’re also welcoming all of you to come in and join in all the fun. In the spirit of welcoming you to the new blog I created a fun little neighborhood to welcome everyone!

The little neighbors and their hood are all from Crafty Secrets - Fairyland.  I drew in the little doors on the mushrooms. :) The background and clouds are stamped using Hero Arts Friends Definition Cling. I hand wrote the Welcome on the sign and was pleased how it turned out. The background was sponged using dye inks and the image colored using watercolor pencils.

The next stop on the hop tomorrow morning  is the fabulous Alice's blog Alice's Little Wonderland you don't want to miss out all the other wonderful designers. If you hit a bad link, you can always go back to Lily Pad Cards and click on the next link in the hop. Please report any bad links to Inlinkz
