One Sheet Wonder - Part I

After 5 hours of driving last night we reached our first destination in Ohio.... Going to an amusement park today. I am an early riser which means I have to go hide out while everyone else sleeps.

So I thought I would spend a few minutes to share one of the cards from my one sheet wonder..

This was my favorite out of all the ones I created from my masterboard.

The home made pattern paper was cut to a 5" x 5" square. I cut out the circle using my circle template in the center of the square.

I stamped the flowers on the white background with versamark and used chalk in similar colors for the background.

The butterflies were punched from some of the masterboard paper. You will see that in another card I share.

One Sheet Wonder - Cornish Heritage Farms Challenge

We are getting ready to go on a road trip... I was in a hurry to get everything done. The last challenge at Cornish Heritage Farms was the one sheet wonder... (Masterboard to me)

I created this masterboard:

which needed to be divided and used on multiple projects. I won't be creating anything while we are on our vacation.. :( No inking for me but will have lots of family time!

So I will share a few of the cards made from this paper. I didn't like everything I created mostly due to quick creations but I will share some of the ones I did like the effect of.

All the stamps will mostly be from Cornish Heritage Farms.

This fun background was created using glimmer mists first and then inking up the stamps multiple times with multiple colors and layering them in.

Happy Birthday Tanya!

This one is for our baby who is turning 8! She loves having her birthday in the July month as she associates it with the celebration of our country. When she saw my other orange and blue striped card she wanted one for her birthday.

This is totally appropriate for her as she is such a star! She shines so brightly.

I used my Silhouette to get the shapes although I am still working on getting comfortable with it.

I cut 1" strips for the masking and stamped alternating polka dots and happy birthday expressions. I then clear embossed them and sponged them with orange and blue. The top layer was stamped with versamark for the sentiment and the polka dots again. I embossed with orange embossing powder and finished it off with some sponged blue edges.

The buttons were just a little accent for me. The girls don't like me to add the buttons but I wanted some height on the card. :)

Cornish Heritage Farms - Scene Challenge

I had one last challenge for the CHF challenge. This week's challenge was a scene challenge. I decided to make a pocket watch in a pocket on a tweed jacket. Tell me do you think this resembles that?

I Heart Hero Arts Blog Hop

This was made using alcohol inks on the grass, dress, flowers, background and bird. :)

I started with a monochromatic them because that is the challenge this week on the HA blog but gave up because I wanted to have the sky blue.

I was trying to make the little girl blowing bubbles but I don't think you can see them that clearly in this picture.

Thinking Pink Ink & More

I was on a scraps binge again... I dug through my scraps and came up with a pile of pink scraps and this weeks challenge over at the Hero Arts Blog is monochromatic cards. http://heroarts.com/blogs/club/2009/07/20/monochromatic-monday/

The card opens up under the heart and the ivory circle is for the sentiment and signing.

This week's challenge at HA is to create something inspired by the HA web-site. I inspired by the HA web-site.

I also owe my older sis her birthday card which she told me she liked green and owls! So it all works together. The main HA web-site has brown, green and touches of orange and they have the cute little owl.
