Little Things

Hello to all.  I am sending healthy thoughts to all my inky friends and hope you are all keeping safe.

Today my post is for the new Funkie Junkie Boutique challenge called "Little Things".   It is hosted by the talented Jenny and here is how she describes the challenge:

"Sometimes it can be the littlest of things that can mean the most. For this challenge create a small vintage or shabby chic project (or if you're feeling adventurous even a set!) It could be an Artist Trading Card/Coin, a tag or a little card for example, or you may have something else in mind - we can't wait to see them."

I am a big fan of small design spaces... :) I immediately thought of Inchies!
I started with a mix of backgrounds and cut up white squares.

I took a few extra pieces from a background created with shaving cream and inky sprays in shades of blue. (Leftover from the last challenge).

I stamped over them with the beautiful baroque stamps in a coordinating blue.  I created these Inchies from those backgrounds:

I have been wanting to ink up the new Stampers Anonymous stamps and happy that the angel could float into the inchie.

I then continued the theme with the word Blessed.
And then pulled out some snippets to add ephemera to the inchies.

After that I pulled out some butterfly die cuts and used them as a stencil and a focal point. (At which point I tipped over the 1 inch size. :)

I love how the butterfly fits over the edges.

And the other half of the stenciled butterfly.

I then created some atc backgrounds using the same shaving cream inky background.  I stenciled embossing paste over the background.  Waited for the paste to dry and spritzed with some inky spray.
I finished with some stamping and ephemera to create some quirky fun.

Finally a bit of the professor looking sharp... (pun intended)

I hope you enjoyed the inchie fest going on here and are inspired to join us in the challenge. Now is a good time to sequester yourself in the craft room and create.

Thanks for stopping by!

Houseful of Inchies

"I" Scream for .... Inchies?  The Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is to be inspired by the letter "I". I created a series of inchies which were very much inspired by design team mate  Andrea.  I am always in awe of Andrea’s whimsical colorful and beautiful art each week.  I tried to emulate her style in my little inchies by bringing in pops of color.

I started with misted paper and cut them down into inchies and then used a variety of punches, stencils and inks to decorate the inchies.

I die cut the houses from cardboard and gave them a coat of white paint.  I then laid out the inchies. I added a circle tag with stars and words on the top.
I love how the bright colors popped on the white washed houses.

I can use these for fun tags on presents to add a pop of color.

Masculine Cards

The Vintage Journey Challenge this month is Destination!

I created two cards using a new set of Steampunk inchies that to me speak of travels and dreams that all people who travel to many destinations. I was inspired by Tim's distress inks and distressed the edges on my first card with Vintage Photo.

The next card uses a great sentiment for all travellers.   A bit clean cut for a vintage card but the images are vintage! :)
