Silhouette Burst

Happy Saturday!

I had an idea Friday that I wanted to try with masking the circle and stamping the silhouette burst in the masked circle. I was planning on having the flowers stamp outside of the mask partially.

I actually ended up with two different cards. I created this one first.

I used the same mask and reverse masked to get the sponged circles. I added a touch of brown flowersoft to the edges. This didn't end up reflecting what I had first envisioned so I created a second card which was closer to what I was thinking of. I also switched the colors to make it more spring like.

The dark color is actually purple but it shows up black.

I hope your weekend is going to be very inky. :)

Trees in Moonlight

We had the biggest orange moon the other night... My DD and I were admiring it as we ran to a meeting together.

It looked very similar to this:

Of course the sky was a little darker here than I put in this card. :) The sentiment on this was something I ordered. Usually I buy stamps when I see them, but my LSS was having a special on Verses stamps and I love their stamps. So I went through the catalogue and ordered this one. I have so many birds stamps and make so many scenes I knew this would work well.

The trees are from Stampers Anonymous - Tim Holtz Reindeer Flight. (I actually have the wood block but wish I had bought the set.)

The sentiment is from Verses and the rest is Ranger Distress Inks Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Broken China. I stamped the trees with Versafine Olympia Green.

My favorite birds are from the B Line Birds Cube.

Have a fabulous day. I am off to clean.. aack!
