I am so happy to be a guest designer this week for Mona's CR84FN8 Cupcake's Creations Color Challenge! Here are the beautiful colors and the lovely inspiration photo:
Love this color combination and here is how it inspired me:
The images are from the new Valentine's delights release from Memory Box. Isn't the Adore Peony Collage (G1433) beautiful? I couldn't wait to ink it up and add some pink to the flowers. The image is stamped with Ranger Archival ink and colored using watercolor markers. The Love and Hearts (B1423) sentiment is also from the new Memory Box release. The Elemental Damask (C1390) is stamped using Memento London Fog and edged with Memento Black Tuxedo.
For all the details of the color challenge CR84FN8 go to Mona's fabulous blog here.
Have a lovely Sunday.

A few challenges and Tag #5
Here is my Day #5 tag and the inspiration: Tim's tag #5. I created two tags along the way and wasn't happy with either result. :( I am only sharing one of them here.
I also created a card using Mona's color challenge CR84fn6 and the CardPatterns Sketch #93.

The sentiment is from Verses called Mother Teresa Quote and the paper is part of the Memory Box Garden Journal Collection. The background paper is Memory Box Gossamer. The butterfly is from Hero Arts Antique Engravings Clear set.

Be Merry
I played around with the fun colors from Mona's CR84FN5 and still playing along in the Hero Arts Monthly Challenge.
Very fun... I have another card on the table that I hope to finish up today.
Thanks for stopping by...

I loved creating the background with the Hero Arts Cling Music image and the large Flourish. The Santa image is from Inkadinkado - Paper Artsy. The music was stamped first using Versafine Vintage Sepia. Heat up the background to dry out. Stamp the flourish multiple times using versamark and clear emboss. Sponge Hero Arts Soft Sand Shadow Ink over the entire surface and brown dye ink.
Here is the pretty inspiration photo from Mona.

Hope Feathers
I took a quick peek at Mona's colors this morning and her card and they both were fabulous! So of course I pulled out my supplies before church and started playing around. Mind you nothing on this card was what I started with this morning. :) Mona's color challenge CR84FN4 this week is light purple, purple and grey.
Here is where my card ended up.
And here is the yummy inspiration photo:
The flowers were made from tissue paper that came in my daughter's shoes. It had such a fun pattern that I pulled it and set it aside for future use.
I love this verse from Verses Rubber Stamps called: Hope Feathers QQ1007-D. The verse is:
Hope is the thing with feathers
that perches on the soul,
that sings a tune without words
and never stops at all.
Emily Dickinson
And since I have a few bird stamps this comes in handy and is great to send to someone needing a little hope. The music notes is Hero Arts Cling stamp, the birds are Inkadinkado Dawn Houser. Inks: Hero Arts Lilac Shadow Ink, Memento London Fog, and Versafine Imperial Purple. Other supplies: May Arts Silk Ribbon, Spellbinders Die Cuts Ovals, Labels 10, Doily.
Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday!

Get Sketchy and Just for Fun
I was over at Lisa's house yesterday and we worked on a few different projects together. We pulled out the sketch from Get Sketchy #62 and decided to play along with our blogging friend Mona's Cupcakes Creations Color Challenge.
Combine those three factors and this is what I created yesterday.
Here is the Get Sketchy inspiration sketch:
Here are the yummy colors from Mona:
The cardinal stamp is from Heartfelt Creations and there are so many wonderful cardinals in their sets that I had a hard time choosing which one to use. The image was colored using watercolor pencils. The papers are from Stampin Up and Basic Grey.
Thanks Lisa for a fun visit! (and for sharing your supplies!)
Have a lovely Saturday.
