CR84FN50 - Week III - Happy in My Heart

We are at the  last week of the  CR84FN50 challenge and I was inspired to create a card for the Moxie Fab World Don't Throw it Away Challenge.  The paper for the grids, trim and twine are all bits left over from other cards. They get stuffed in an odds and ends twine & lace container on my shelf behind my desk. Perfect for these types of cards.

I used my lovely ODBD stamps to create a grid card.

I used the Two Step Butterfly,  HoneyComb Background, God's Love,  and Sentiment Collection.

A mix of scraps, twine, buttons, lace and flowers. Distressed the edges mixed up the inks between the pink and orange.  The yellow is glimmer mist.

I blended the following inks together to create my scene: Memento Tangelo, Memento Dandelion and Stampin Up - Pink.

Here are the lovely colors:

ODBDLYLS15 Anniversary Scrapbook Challenge - Fruits or Flowers

This month the ODBD scrapbook challenge is all about celebrating  ODBD's 4th Anniversary!! The traditional gifts for a 4th anniversary include fruit or flowers. The challenge for March is to: create a layout of any size using fruit or flowers and ODBD stamps.

My page features a picture of my youngest DD:

My layout is 9" x 9".  The ODBD Products Used: Honeycomb Background, The Light of Life, Faithful Friend, With Heartfelt Sympathy, Easter Blessings

The background is stamped with the honeycomb stamp and smeared with blue and white acrylic paint.  The banners are from canvas tape.

The fence and lantern image in the background is a combination of the new Light of Life with the blue bells from the Easter Blessing set.  They were stamped in black ink and colored with watercolor pencils and waterbrush.

Our Daily Bread Designs 4th Anniversary Blog Hop!

Happy Saturday!
Today is the Our Daily Bread designs 4th Anniversary Special Design team Edition Release Blog Hop!  (Say that three times fast).  If you arrived here from Our Daily Bread Designs Blog you are in the right place!
If any links are broken along the way, you can always get the entire list of links from the ODBD Blog.
Each year on the anniversary, the Design Team submits a suggestion for the special anniversary sets. (Being released today!).
My sentiment that I suggested for the anniversary collection has special meaning to me.  My mother used to always say to her grandchildren "You make me happy in my heart".  I think it is such a lovely thought that you could make someone happy in their heart by just being you.  My project shows a picture of my mother with my two older children when they were little along with her words
I framed the image with the lovely bleeding hearts from the From Me to You set. I stamped the sentiment from the new Sentiments Collection.  The images are all stamped using Ranger Black Archival Ink on a 6" x 6" white cardstock square.  The bleeding hearts are colored with watercolor pencils and waterbrush and highlighted with white gel pen.  The background is sponged with scattered straw and antique linen Ranger Distress Dye inks.   The little dragonflies are from the With Heartfelt Sympathy set. The main image is mounted on a navy blue cardstock.
So now, here are the Details of the Anniversary Hop:
  • The Hop will run 8am EDT Mar. 17 until 8pm EDT Mar 18.
  • The winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on Mar 19.
  • Four  hoppers will win a FREE ANNIVERSARY SET and One blessed hopper will win The Complete Anniversary  Bread Basket Bundle!!!

ODBDLYLS12 - Double Trouble

Time for the December Our Daily Bread Designs Scrapbook Challenge.  The challenge is to create a layout of any size and any theme using ODBD stamps and a sketch.

Here is my layout using the lovely sketch:
I used a fun vintage image and think the girls smiles are so adorable.  They are copied twice and matted on white. I stamped the beautiful ODBD Honeycomb background in black ink and colored with watercolor. I cut the edges to showcase the fun pattern.  The beautiful verse and clover are from the ODBD Simple Things set.  The background papers are from Bo Bunny Peacock Lane collection.

Faith - ODBDLYLS11

I was very pleased when ODBD asked me to guest design for the Scrapbook challenge for November and December.  Today is the first day of the November Our Daily Bread Designs Scrapbook Challenge.  The challenge is to create a layout of any size and any theme using ODBD stamps and a photo as inspiration for the colors on your layout.

Here is my layout inspired by the beautiful photo:

I used a lovely picture of my  daughter Kaeli from our trip to the Grand Canyon.   I framed her using the beautiful Faith set.  I stamped the butterfly bush repeatedly using brown ink on the pattern paper.  I colored the butterflies and berries using watercolor pencils in the colors from the inspiration photo.  The sentiment is stamped using the same brown ink.  The butterflies have layers on the wings and pearl accents on the bodies.

The beautiful autumnal  inspiration photo:
