Sorry about my second post of the day. :) I wanted to share a card created for the ColourQ color challenge #106 and the Card Patterns Sketch #137.
Here is my card:
Sparkle Rubber Creations is hosting the Card Patterns challenge this week so I thought I would pull out Mummy Oliver to play along. The sentiment and image is from Sparkle Creations. The background bats are from Artistic Outpost.
I colored Oliver and then added some sparkle to his wraps. :)
Here is the sketch and Color Inspiration:
I will be back later for the CR84FN colors and post.
Thanks for stopping by...

P.S. Here is a picture of our puppy (almost three now) Emma... Very windy here today.. Blew her ear back. Just like all my girls she makes a funny face if I try to get a photo!

Sparkle Creations 1st Anniversary Release & Hop!!!
Hello and Welcome to the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps 1st Anniversary Hop! I was very happy to be invited to join in the hop!
I had the sweet Bookworm Ruby and she inspired me to create a few different projects:
Isn't that sentiment sweet? Love it and she looks so sweet sitting on the pile of books. The papers are Memory Box and Lily Bee Designs - Picket Fence. The image is colored using Copics. The fun sentiment is part of the stamp set!
My next project is a bookmark which will definitely get a lot of use by my middle daughter!
My final project is another card.
Onto all the fun details:
Not only is the hop celebrating a year of SCRS, Sparkle is also officially releasing 4 new SCRS images this month -- Backpack Oliver, Bookworm Ruby, Hula Lucy and Ukulele Josh.. In addition to that there is also 2 new Karber Rubber Stamps -- Rainbow Leslie and Reading Millie! They are all available in the store now!
There is a fabulous lineup of artists participating in the hop including the Current Design Team, DT Alumni and past/present Guest Designers. If you happened here by chance and would like to start from the beginning, the hop begins at the SCRS blog -- please see the complete list below.
What's a hop without prizes? There are TEN single stamp prizes hidden along the way and one lucky winner will win the ENTIRE July release! All you need to do is leave some love at every stop along the hop.. You have until 11:59 PM EST on Sunday to leave comments for a chance to win! Winners will be announced on the SCRS blog on Monday.

SCRS Challenge #23 - Faux or Real Stitching
Time for the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps weekly challenge. This week's challenge is a is to use faux or real stitching. This was a big challenge for me as I don't sew. For all the challenge details visit the SCRS blog.
Here is my card and my tiny attempt at sewing on a card:
Slightly open to show the fold:
Laying flat:

I paired up Caroling Josh with Christmas Tree Ruby, I thought they would look cute caroling together.
I created a Z fold card and used the fun American Crafts papers in the background. I had first counted on my ribbon being the stitching. After I finished the card I decided to take a piece of felt and hand stitch little ear muffs for Josh. :) The scarf was cut from the same felt to add a nice fuzzy touch. They are both colored using watercolor pencils and a waterbrush.
The design team has some sweet projects to share:
Thanks for stopping by!

Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps December Release
Today is the final day of sneak peeks and the December release day for Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps! Sparkle is releasing 2 new images -- they are available in the store now.. Today the design team is showcasing Valentine's Oliver.
He looks so dapper with his snazzy hat. I originally had colored him with some really bright colors. My youngest called him a disco boy, so I decided to re-color him with some browns and greens. I paired him with paper from Memory Box in the fabulous Tinsel and Enchanted collections. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.
He was colored using the following Copics (RV02, RV04, RV06, YG03, YG05, YG07, E00, E02, E21, E31, E35, E33, E37) and accented with a little white gel pen.
Border punch is EK Success.
Be sure to visit all rest of the SCRS designers for more sweet projects using Oliver. Sparkle will be giving away a Valentine's Oliver to one lucky person! For a chance to win, you need to comment on all of the designer's blogs (list below). Then head on over to the SCRS blog and comment on the Oliver post. You have until midnight EST Saturday Dec 11th, 2010 to comment. The lucky winner will be announced the following day!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Sparkle Creations December Sneak Peek - Cupid Emily
Today is the first sneak peek for Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps December Release. Sparkle is releasing two new images at midnight EST this Saturday, December 11th. Today is the sneak peek for Cupid Emily.
Isn't she sweet? My youngest DD was coloring her image alongside of me and had the inspiration to create a two tone dress and that inspired my white and pink dress. :) She looked like she should be flying along looking for some recipients of her hearts. I paired her with the lovely Happenstance paper from Memory Box. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. The copics used include: (RV02, RV04, RV06, E00, E02, E21, YR14, YR12, E35)
Be sure to visit all rest of the SCRS designers for more peeks of Cupid Emily. Sparkle will be giving away a Cupid Emily to one lucky person! SCRS Challenge # 22 - Color Challenge
I am happy to be playing along in the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Weekly Challenge. This week's challenge is a color challenge! Use the colors black, white and red. For all the details visit the SCRS blog.
I have the super sweet Emily and wanted to show her off on something special.
This little felt stocking was only a 1.00 at the craft store and is a great way to store a few goodies to give to someone. I colored Emily using my watercolor pencils and then glittered her up using the ultra fine crystal snow glitter and the beautiful Colorsnap red glitter.
The snowflakes are some fabulous Memory Box clear design adhesives which you just rub on and then apply glitter.
The bell tag matches Emily's little bell. I already hand wrote my youngest daughter's name on this treat bag to wrap up a few goodies in.
The rest of the design team has some fabulous projects using the holiday colors:
Kim YuLaurel Seabrook
Lisa Hjulberg
Simonne Clay
Sparkle Smith
Stephanie Kraft

Here Comes Santa Claus
I am happy to say that I am guest designing this month with Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps. Sweet images and so fun to play with. Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps is sponsoring a Sketches By Carly Challenge #19 this week. Sparkle is generously donating Valentine's Oliver and Cupid Emily (new releases that I will be sharing next week and will be released on 12/11!!). Carly and her mom, Kristine, have also played along this week. To see their fabulous creations and for more details (and the sketch), please visit Carly's blog here.
I used Elf Oliver for my card. (Although I gave him a promotion and he is delivering gifts! LOL!)

He did get a little sooty being as he is new to the job. The wonderful sketch:
Oliver is colored using my trusty watercolor pencils. The paper is from a Making Memories Valentine's Pack. The sentiment is computer generated. The snowflakes were such a great deal. Found them at Target in the home decor section for the holidays. They are intended to scatter on your table to decorate it for your holiday dinner or parties. I may end up doing that if they make it through the season. :)
Have a happy Saturday!
