ATC's

I had quite a few more ATC's that went with my series I shared yesterday.  I decided to split them into a few posts.  Here is the remainder of my ATC's made with my ombre backgrounds.

I had so much fun playing with different ideas and techniques.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cherish the Moments

Tim's tag this month is a rainbow of watercolor and I had a great time inking up stencils and playing with the distress inks.

I loved that he used butterflies because any excuse to ink up butterflies is a good excuse! I used a Crafter's workshop stencil with Ranger Distress Inks.  The butterflies are Stampers Anonymous and the sentiment is from DarkRoom Door.

I played around with different colors and stencils:

I loved the army colors on this stencil

Two others I started to cut down and sponged the edges. I even started a few more butterflies!

That's all for now!

Joyeux Noel

Week #7 of Linda's twelve tags.  She has a beauty this week with so many different details to be inspired by. The challenge is sponsored by her store The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

I was inspired by her deer, the snowflakes and the trees in the background:
I started with this piece of scrap glossy cardstock.  Those flowers you saw on my Pearls and Feathers post were glimmer misted with blue, brown and perfect pearls.  They left a bit of mist and ink on my craft mat. After I pulled the flowers out of the mist I placed my glossy cardstock over the ink and picked it up.  I ended up with a beautiful shimmery background.

I decided to pull it out and play with it for the background on my tag.  I had intended a different technique for my background but it ended up wiping off my brown shimmer on my background.  I decided to pull out my Crafters Workshop stencil and sponge brown dye ink over it to create my trees.

I then found this deer from last years tags cut from music sheet and heat embossed him with a rustique embossing powder.

The snowflakes are a pair of earrings that I broke apart and placed in my scene.  I finished the edges with distressing and a coat of Tinsel embossing powder.  I wanted my deer looking up at something so I stamped a bird in red and added a  tuft and turned him into a cardinal.

The Joyeux Noel is from Artistic Outpost Snowy Woods. The bird from B Line Designs.

A closer view of the tag:
Have a wonderful Thursday!

Here is my card.

All I am going to say is it is going to be a messy class and smell good. LOL!

Very excited to find out I had won Lisettes' blog candy. :) Check our her blog. Love everything she creates it is all beautiful!

Moxie Fab World Challenge - Signs of Peace - Part II

I was waiting for this great Love Bug set from Unity to show up to create one more card for the Moxie Fab World Challenge - Signs of Peace.

I am also submitting this to the Simon Says Challenge which this week is to Sing it Baby. (Thanks Dawn for the suggestion!)

I had some left over scraps from my playing around with the peace sign previously and used them to start this card.

The slug bug was stamped from the Unity set onto the peace sign background and cut out. The edges have been sponged to give it depth.

The background sun was so fun. I was lucky enough at CHA to pick up a new The Crafters Workshop template.  The sun is sponged using Ranger Distress Inks Mustard, Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge, and Fired Brick.

Another addictive song with the sentiment. I had everyone in the house singing this after I finished the card. :)

I'm seeing stars...

Another card using the orange and blue with the stars. I was working through using a template from the crafter's workshop http://www.thecraftersworkshop.com/. I love these little plastic templates as they are so versatile and can be used as stencils, templates, or for piercing.

I wanted to play along with 2 Peas thinking ink classes by Jennifer McGuire as well as the HA blog challenge for complementary colors.

This was a little soft in colors for me, so I added some little punched out stars to add a layer.

The background is sponged on around the template and sprinkled with water to give the watery background.

I also created a star button from a die cut and embossing several times.

Products:

  • Crafters Workshop Template
  • Hero Arts Birthday Messages
  • Hero Arts Artistic Windows - Wood grain
  • Ranger Distress Inks - Spiced Marmalade, Broken China
  • Versafine Habenero
  • Versamark Watermark Ink
  • Clear Embossing Powder
  • Crystal Stickers
  • Twine - Unknown

National Scrapbooking Day

Two Pea's is hosting challenges all weekend for National Scrapbooking Day http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/nsd2009/. I created this card for a few of the challenges...

I was at my favorite LSS and they were offering 30% off on everything. I picked up this awesome template/stencil from The Crafter's Workshop. I traced it to make the shape of the card and the circles around the inside I sponged using this template.

The Sentiment was a new verses stamp. I thought the sentiment was a lovely expression and unfortunately I have needed several sympathy cards.

Products:
  • Memento - Bamboo Leaves
  • Ranger Distress Inks - Broken China, Shabby Shutters, Brown Corduroy
  • The Crafters Workshop - Orchid Template
  • Stampendous - Angathapus Cluster
  • Cornish Heritage Farm - Dotted Diamonds
  • Hero Arts - Soft Sand Shadow Ink
  • Verses - Gently, Lovingly

Thanks for stopping by... Hope you get to play today for NSD!
