Voyage

Tim posted his April tag yesterday and I played around this morning using the same cool techniques he used on his tag.  Usually I try to explore and use a few different elements when I am playing along with Tim, but.  today I am a bit under the weather so I decided to stay close to his design.

The tag this time is all about giving it a metallic patina finish. I mixed in a few different paints to try to emulate what Tim's tag looked like.

My background is painted with PaperArtsy Fresco Paints.  I used a variety and many layers. I messed up halfway through and had to re-apply more layers of color.  I followed the technique Tim shared to paint the background.  I added a layer of Paper Artsy Tissue paper to stamp the letters and Voyage. I used versamark and clear embossing powder to attach the tissue paper and allow a translucency.

Since most of the techniques on this was the same as Tim's I am going to keep my post short. Thanks for stopping by!

  14. Wow Sue, to creat this gorgeous tag whilst feeling 'under the weather' is amazing. I caught a sickness bug last week and didn't do a thing for a couple of days. I seem to be catching everything my grandchildren get at the moment. Never mind, I think we are finally getting some Spring weather here in the UK so we might all feel a bit better soon.

I love the patina effect on this tag and your dragonfly is amazing. I haven't had a chance to look at Tim's tag yet but I know your take on them is always superb. I love how you used the wax paper too.

    Hugs
