Play Date Cafe Challenge #42

Sarah selected  the fun colors this week at the  Play Date Cafe Challenge.  



I was inspired by the rich warm colors to make a masculine card. I searched around in my images drawer and found this image of the men fishing. 



And pulled out the scrap cardboard and everything fell into place quickly after that.

Here is another project using the colors from this week.



I heat embossed my die cut four times with the embossing powder. I then inked up the Hero Arts Three ferns with versamark and while the embossing powder was hot stamped it in to create an impression.  I then had an inspiration and added a layer of brown embossing powder into the fern impression and heated it up.  Very cool!  I then created a mini journal with pages to capture photos.

  3. Wow, such great elements with the feathers and the twine wrapped together around the gorgeous photo! The trees in the background created the perfect accent for the photo! Love this!

  5. I'm STUTTERING! My fingers can't find the keys... I'm stunned!!!! THESE CARDS ARE AMAZING! Oh, oh, oh my {former} inner fly fisher person is CRYING!!! This is FANTASTIC! I mean, if you lead with the second card, the crafter in me would be just as happy {it's EXCELLENT!} but OH, baby! That fishin' card - ROCKS! What an AWESOME share and terrific inspiration!   7. My jaw dropped when I saw your card over at PDCC - stunning!!!! Love everything about it - the trees in the circle, coming outside the edges of the card - brilliant!! Love the vintage image, the green feather (!!!), the texture - yes, I mean everything. Love the second card as well - again, awesome textures. TFS

  12. Loving both your gorgeous cards! So many layers and textures and details on your first (love the cardboard and the circle o' trees). Second is rich and elegant--love the impress embossing and cuttlebug wood folder was perfect back drop. TFS!
