School Days

Welcome to the June Artistic Outpost Blog Hop!   Today the Artistic Outpost Design Team  is sharing projects for school days! .


I started from this cute notebook. It had chipboard cover and bottom:


I covered the surface with Gaffer's Tape from 7 Gypsies.  I added a touch of color with Ranger Distress Ink Peacock Feathers.  I added a slight smudging of white acrylic paint. 

I stamped the sweet image from the Favorite Book and colored with the distress inks and shaded with color pencils.  I stamped the house frame from the Whimsical Melange using StazOn and cut out using detail scissors.   The letters are from the Secretary Pool and are stamped and cut out.  I added a ring for the pencils.

    Gorgeous Suzz, love the gaffer tape in the background and the wash of acrylic is perfect. Great use of the AO images, very creative. Love READ placed on the side and the pencil is perfect. Tracy x

    Terrific color palette, so fresh and inviting but still retains that vintage feel. That image is just too cute and you did an awesome job coloring it. Absolutely charming notebook - sensational contribution to the hop!

    I was immediately drawn by the color...the peacock is not a standard "distress" color, but it is fabulous! What an absolutely darling creation! I love having your posts pop up in my e-mail!
