I started with a blending of distress inks sponged over the stencil to add the layers of colors. I then sponged around the edges with brown dye ink.
I kept the stencil in place and stamped script into the openings. I then stamped the wood grain in the background.
For my next attempt I did the same effect of three colors in the stencil but I used Glimmer Mists.
After I finished I decided to cover it with Wendy Vecchi Crackle Embossing Paste. After it was dry I mixed in more glimmer mist and shaded around the edges with brown watercolor pencil blended with the waterbrush.
After I finished with the layers I stamped letters in the background and added the rub ons to the centers of the feathers.

I love these feathers! Beautiful stencil work, Suzz!
ReplyDeletegorgeous feathers. What a wonderful stencil.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, this is the bad penny turning up again after being a very poor commentor for ages! I've been back pinning your beautiful creations to my boards as there are so many I love.
ReplyDeleteToday's cards are stunning and I love them both but think the first one clinches it for me purely because the colours are so my favourites. I love the script stamped though the stencil too.
Hope you and your family are all well.
