I started with kraft 12 x 12 cardstock.
I just received two sets from Simon Says Stamp which focus on our pets. One is a stamp set remembering our lost pets and the other was a stencil set of paw prints.
I decided to sponge on paw prints in the background which I decided to make like clouds by pairing them up. I used a white chalk ink to try to get a soft cloud like effect.
I then mixed up and dripped blue spray over the back. I cut strips of pattern paper to use behind the picture and gave them the same spray mix treatment.
To offset the kraft and the blue I stamped the sentiments all in brown on white and created banners to place around the layout. I finished with a whimsical piece of twine.
Here is Harry and our other puppy basking in the sun last summer.

ReplyDeleteWhat a tender tribute to an adorable dog! You've honored his memory with a stunning page. I love, love, LOVE those smudges of blue spray and I thought the winding piece of twine was so perfect- it reminded me of a leash or of a happy doggie toy. Thanks for not only a beautiful piece, but a precious insight into your own life. Great "paradise" interpretation!
