Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!  I am wishing you all a day filled with family and blessings!

I have two tags today... I have been working on these for awhile and just finished them up.  They are for Linda's 12 Tags of Christmas.  She is hosting this challenge on her blog The Funkie Junkie and the challenge is sponsored by The Funkie Junkie Boutique

First up is my tag inspired by her beautiful Week # 7 tag.  I finished my tag before she posted this weeks tag.  My tag has components of her tag from this week. Ha Ha...
I was inspired by the plaid in green and blue on Linda's Week #7 tag. I wanted to continue that rustic feel and used a green and blue combo which I emphasized with brown drawn stripes.

I then decided to add the reindeer and trees to go with the rustic design.  I added mica snowflakes.

My next tag is a case of Linda's Week #6.  Beautiful red and white snowy tag inspired me to create a pocket tag with snowflake cut-outs.

I cut one piece of cardstock which I scored to create a pocket. I then folded it over to die cut the snowflakes in the front cover.  I lined the inside with acetate to help keep the snowflake flat.
I stamped the background with Vermilion and a background stamped. I embossed the cover with white embossing pasted sprinkled with crystal glitter while wet.  I masked the snowflakes with the leftover snowflakes to keep the acetate clean of embossing pasted.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

  2. Oh my, these are both gorgeous, Sue! I don't know which is my favorite becaue they are both so special. The green plaid is fantastic - love the addition of the mica flakes and the red/white one is brilliant with the pocket aspect. Love both of these entries! I hope you and your family have enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving.

    Hugs,
    Linda

  4. Suzz, these are favorites for me! I love the green/blue/brown plaid; such a unique combination of delightful colors! The stamped deer and the clever way you've used the birch tree die make this super special for me!

The pocket and tag is so ingenious, and I love the embossing on the front! Well done on both of these takes on Linda's tags! I hope you enjoyed a blessed Thanksgiving!
