Moxie Fab - Let's Do Classy and Elegant Challenge

Cath is hosting multiple challenges on the Moxie Fab blog.  They have to do with card styles and I created one for the classy and elegant challenge.  I am definitely going to try to create a card for each of the styles.

This card also applies to the Hero Arts challenge for this month for travel... This card reflects far off places that I probably won't ever visit. :)


I was playing around with my alcohol inks yesterday.  I was trying to create a card for the CCC (Deborah's very fun card exchange challenge) Of course I was easily side tracked and created this beautiful turquoise, blue, and green alcohol ink background that was really strong in colors. This was created by stamping the peacock background stamp from Hero Arts over the alcohol ink background using Versamark. Heat emboss with some Ranger Queen's Gold. I ended up with a beautiful gold surface and my peacock.

Then I decided to go the next step and heated up the embossing powder again and stamped with the Hero Arts Old French Writing (make sure to apply versamark to your stamp before stamping). Love how this turned out and I am definitely going to do it again. (Only this time I will work in alcohol inks that I have coordinating background papers/colors. :) Took me awhile to find the fabulous Webster's Pages paper to create my backdrop.

    Oh, my, Suze, this is elegant to the max! Beautiful with the gold embossing, and the Webster's Pages fit perfectly with the stamped images!

    I love how your creative mind works, Sue. This is such an amazing card, the gold peacock with the french writing embossed over it is so fabulous...genius! All the design details, the die cut shape, the punched borders, the gorgeous paper and the beautiful floral element all serve to enhance the beauty of this stunning creation. My hat is certainly off to you on this masterpiece!
