Moxie Fab World - Card Style - Shabby Chic & Vintage

Another entry in the Moxie Fab challenges.   These cards  are for the shabby chic and vintage challenge.

I tried to create a card for the cute and fun challenge this morning and failed miserably. Nothing more frustrating than spending all morning and creating something ugly! So I decided to move onto shabby chic and vintage.

Both of these cards had an easy element to them. The first one was easy because I started from this gorgeous chipboard frame from Tattered Angels.  The frame was so beautiful and inspiring it was very easy to put this card together.

The stamps for the butterfly (Etched Engravings) and background (Antique Flower Background)  are Hero Arts and the sentiment is from Verses - Irish Blessing.

The ink is Memento Plum. Lovely color. The chipboard is Tattered Angels and the lovely ribbon is May Arts. The lace is from the Antique store. Flowers I just bought but they were in a bundle and not labeled.

The second card was a scrap I have kept in my pile for a long time. It was created using glimmer mists and glimmer shields inked up with glimmer mist. I have been wanting to use it for awhile but was intimidated by the size of the image. I decided to pull it out and use it today on my second card.

The background is a Cornish Heritage Farms Scrapblock of music. Add a little distressing to the image panel and the Prima flowers a little ribbon and done.  Very simple and I hope shabby chic?

Thanks for stopping by!

  7. Oh my, Suzz these are both gorgeous. I love shabby chic and you certainly know how to do that all right! As someone has already said the beautiful cream and plum card could easily be for a wedding and I love the colours on the second card. I have most of the Glimmer Shields and loads of GMs. I love the effects you get from all the different ways they can be used too. Your's is wonderful.
