Tim's Tag of 2013 -
January tag theme is all about gears of time and life. I took that inspiration and changed it up to fit what I had on hand in celebration of the New Year.
I have a confession to make.. I really love those new Metallic Distress Inks. I decided to use the gears embossing folder but use a scrap piece of acetate/plastic from a set of Christmas tags(sticker). I embossed the plastic using the embossing folder. I then used the metallic distress inks to blend the Brushed Pewter and Tarnished Brass over the acetate. I edged with a Gold Leafing Krylon Pen. I used the same three components on my brass clocks, gears, brads and clock hands. The tag was stamped using Versamark and heat embossed with Stampendous Gold Embossing Powder. (Champagne) I edged the sides with the Krylon but the top and bottom of the mini tag were embossed with the same embossing powder. I backed my acetate tag with a white cardstock tag to give it support and show off the metallic colors.
I stamped the baby new year using brown archival ink and colored with a touch of watercolor pencils. I stained the seam binding using the metallic stains and stamped with the brown archival ink. The stamps are all from
Artistic Outpost - Auld Lang Syne.
