Resin Clay

Today is the final day in the Stampendous Design Team  and  Resin Crafts hop.  We are sharing creations featuring Stampendous,  Nunn Design and ETI Jewelry Resin.  You still have a chance to hop along and leave comments for a chance to win..

Today I am featuring Resin Clay.  I started with a beautiful bezel to create my first  project:
I mixed the clay together per the instructions and then pushed it into the bezel.  I cut off the excess and then stamped the Par Avion from the Stampendous Air Travel Perfectly Clear into the clay using StazOn ink.  I poked the stylus around the edges and then let it dry. After it was dry I used my STAEDTLER triplus pen to add another coat of black to the letters and in the indents around the edge.  I finished it off with a layer of the resin coating.  I stamped the other images on Shrinky Dink plastic and colored the reverse side with STAEDTLER watercolor markers. I cut them out and added a hole punch to the image.  I then heated them up with my heat gun. I attached them with jump rings.

I then decided to mix up some of the clay with a mix of gold metallic paint.
I mixed the clay and rolled it out into a flat surface and cut it using the mixing cups for the resin.  I then stamped on the clay after letting it harden for a little bit. On the first project I used the Snapdragons stamp.  On my second project I used the beautiful Sweet Pea  stamp.  I used StaZon Ink to stamp the images.
I colored them with a mix of markers and white gel pen highlights.  After the clay had completely dried I coated them with a layer of resin.  I applied the coat of resin onto the embellishments on a throw away piece of acetate. After they dried I cut away and pulled off the acetate.  I sanded the edges of the embellishments. Now I have two different embellishments for future projects.

Hop along to everyone's blog for more chances to win!
