This week at Simon Says Stamp and Show we are being inspired. You choose what inspires you, it can be a song lyric or a quote from your favorite author, or an idea from
your favorite blogger or your
favorite artist. I was inspired by the fantastic Hot Air Balloon created by Candy from a previous challenge.
I had sitting out plastic Easter eggs left over from our Easter decorations. I decided to use the idea of covering my egg with the embossed metallic sheets.
I cut the embossed sheets into pieces which I layered over the egg.
I had my DH drill hole in the top and bottom of the egg. And I added a handle to the top and the bottom had a leftover handle found at the flea market.
I
decided to create a coordinating butterfly. I cut the butterfly from a
die cut and embossed the surface with the embossing folder.
I decided to antique my metal with a coat of versamark and Stampendous Aqua Embossing Enamel. I then smeared the surface with StaZon Black ink.
I added changes, charms, and pearls draped around the top. I covered the inside of the egg with the same process. I added a hinge to the back to allow the egg to open to hide a gift.
