I was inspired by the checkerboard pattern on the bottom of Linda's tag and started think Little House on the Prairie Christmas. I tried to think of alternative stamps to use because I don't have the pretty Wendy Vecchi set of images. I just received he new Darkroom Door Brushed Christmas Vol 1 which had a tree (inspired by Linda's tag) and it looks like wood grain.
I used the DarkRoom Door Weathered Stripes and criss-crossed them using Aged Mahogeny Ranger Distress Inks. The ribbons and flowers were died with Aged Mahogeny ink. I outlined the tree using STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell watercolor pencils.
I inked up some beautiful lace from the boutique using the ranger distress sprays (also from the Funkie Junkie boutique) I cut it apart and used the top strip to outline my stripes. I used the scallops to create a clam shell type of arrangement topped off with a flower.

Your Christmas tree stamp is wonderful! Love the woodgrain look and the way you outlined it - the shading gives it great dimension. And wow, that dyed lace is really sensational. I love the way your tag turned out! Great to have you along with me for week #2!
