Be Merry

Tag #8 for Linda's Funkie Junkie 12 Tags challenge sponsored by her boutique the Funkie Junkie Boutique.  She has a charming homespun Christmas tag this week.


 I was thinking old fashioned Christmas and had the Graphic 45 School Days paper which had me stencilling letters and rulers.
 A hint of Ranger Distress Spray (Barn Door & Walnut Stain)   and a lovely deep red. 

The next step was to find some adornments I added some snowflakes and stars to accentuate the tag.
 The stamps are Indigo Blue and Artistic Outpost - Snowy Woods.  The snowflakes are Stampendous dies which are fun because you can layer them to get solid or outline snowflakes.  Sponged with a touch of Aged Mahogany and Vintage Photo.  The tiny snowflakes are punches.

    Oh wow, love this!! Amazing background effects over the stencilling and I love those snowflakes and stars embellishments!! Not seen those dies before, they look super!! Love the red stamping too, a truly wonderful tag that really caught my eye!

    Totally gorgeous, Sue! LOVE the deep rich background, especially with the stenciling on it. And those snowflakes with the stacking ability are terrific. This one is a stunner! And thanks for always being the leader in linking up. It's terrific to have you along for the challenge this year.
