Krafty Flowers

Are you feeling krafty?  This week we are playing with Kraft paper over at the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge.  I had a piece of my brown paper bag laying on my desk leftover from my previous gift bag.  I decided to use that paper as the base for a garden.

I painted the paper bag with white acrylic paint leaving the edges smeared with paint.

I repeated the process several times to create my layers and to create a base for the butterflies and sentiments.  I stamped the flowers using black ink over the white background.  I added color with my watercolor pencils and a waterbrush.

I then layered the sheets of painted paper.   I stamped the butterflies on one of the extra pieces of paper bag.  I colored them in coordinating colors using the watercolor pencils.  I then created the sentiment by stamping it on the painted kraft paper and tearing the edges and putting them over the layers.

I attached the papers using the Mini Stapler and glue dots for the butterflies.

Poppies & Sunlight

The ColourQ Challenge #131 colors this week are a mix of green, yellow, orange and pink. What happy spring colors!  I created a tag using the beautiful  AO Flower Market.

The butterflies are my touch of pink and are layered with the second layer being stamped on tissue paper and attached to the center of the main image.

The background is sponged with yellow dye ink and orange dye ink.  I added sunspots with drips of water.

Here are the colors:

Have a lovely Friday!

Poppy Poppy

On the way to making my CR84FN  card this week,  I created two more cards using the poppy stamps from Hero Arts.  Here are the other two cards created in my Poppy Series. :)

The Hero Arts doily stamp is stamped using glimmer mist.  The Poppies are stamped using a dark gray ink and then colored using glimmer mists and watercolor pencil.  The sentiment is from Verses Rubber Stamps.

The second card was supposed to be a double pocket tag card.  But when I created the pockets I realized you couldn't see the poppies and decided to use a different design to show off the poppies.  They are pieced using Authentique papers. The background is a Hero Arts Friends Definition Stamp.

Hope your week is off to a great start!
