Hero Arts Challenge this week http://heroarts.com/blogs/club/2009/04/13/motivation-monday-making-your-own-messages/ is about messages. I was lacking inspiration regarding the messages. I started from a sketch that I drew and ended up with this card:
I wasn't too pleased with the results but I liked the frame that was left from cutting the typed paper and decided to create this...
Of course it wasn't the original frame from the die cut as I ripped that. :)

I also wanted to share some fun news... I just recieved my Stampington postscript and in there they link to the future releases of Take Ten / Stamper's Sampler. I always like to peek to see what is coming out in the next magazines. I was pleasantly surprised to see my Masterboard I had submitted is going to be in the June magazine! Here is the link to the sneek peak. http://stampington.com/html/postscript_04142009_tss_take_ten_summer09.html (Scroll all the way down)
Have a great day!

Both cards are wonderful! I love your sketch! I might just have to play with it....
ReplyDeleteAnd CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! You are being published! Rockstar!!!!!
I KNEW IT! I am laughing... this morning I looked at a new Stampington e-mail I received and took a look at the Take Ten submissions - and I saw your masterboard, but didn't know it was yours of course... I thought, hmmm, that looks familiar, I bet it is from Sue, and I tried my best to read the small print but it was impossible.... now I know it was yours - how beautiful is that - I just love it!! These cards are pretty gorgeous too! Congratulations!!!

ReplyDeleteShe is just too cute! and those daisies and the dragonfly are really creative and beautiful at the same time. I love how you did the dragonfly!
ReplyDeleteHow clever of you to make a second card out of the scraps of the first. Both are terrific.
