I wanted a soft and pretty image to go with the soft pinks and oranges and decided the little ballerina from Artistic Outpost would be just the right touch. From there I wanted to create a Nutcracker ballet inspired tag. I think I lost my way a bit but was pleased with the background.
It uses the sponged on holly in pink over a painted background. I then layered on a touch of embossing paste. I finished with a spritz of orange spray.
I added a hint of white spray and white paint acrylic. (Ranger Distress Sprays)
The soldier took the longest time as I tried him a variety of combinations of white, pinks and oranges.
Hope your week is going well! I will be back later tonight with day 5 of my tags and I really love how this one turned out!

What a fantastic way to bring to life 'The Nutcracker'! It's perfect!
ReplyDeleteI could watch that ballet constantly. I so admire where Linda's tag took you. The color choice you made for the background and the way the paste looks is so gorgeous and then the embellishments....truly whimsical and magical.
ReplyDeleteLove your color combo! Love the tag.
ReplyDeleteWow, Sue, I NEVER would have used those colors together, especially for Christmas, but this is just fantastic. It has such a warm glow to it. Your background is seriously sensational - love the way it came out. Your soldier is perfect and I love seeing that sweet AO ballerina! A sensational take on tag #10!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Linda
