Peace, Love, and Joy

Tim's Tag #9 uses a lovely resist technique. That was the starting point for my inspiration:

I didn't have the candle or the light post which would have both been fun to play with and I knew I wanted the same shape so I pulled out a few dress forms laying around from the previous days.

Quick run down on the techniques:

  1. Stamp script on background with brown ink. Let dry.
  2. Stamp Hero Arts Background Holly using versamark with the evergreen bough dye inked over the versamark on the stamp over the script background. Heat emboss using clear embossing powder.
  3. Sponge brown dye ink over surface. Smear gold paint around edges.
  4. Die cut dress form and emboss using  using Cuttlebug embossing folder.
  5. Smear versamark around edges and over embossed areas. Heat emboss using gold embossing powder.
  6. Cut dress portion of form off and put on another form that has been inked in brown dye ink.
That's the backgrounds and the rest is embellishments!  Thanks for all the wonderful comments and for stopping by!

  15. Another gorgeous tag! How funny, when I made my tag I was choosing between the dress form and a house. I also didn't have the candle and had already used the lamppost on another tag. I ended up using the house. But now I wish I had picked the dress form instead!
